About Us

Karabar High School and Distance Education Centre is located in Queanbeyan, NSW.

It is a NSW public school, conducted by the NSW Department of School Education and caters for students in Years 7 to 12 from NSW and ACT.

Our school strives to prepare all students to live satisfying lives in a changing world.

We believe that all students have a right to comprehensive education and also offer targeted programs for gifted and talented students, students from non-English speaking backgrounds, Aboriginal students and for those with learning difficulties.

In the same way the Distance Education Centre serves students in south east NSW who are isolated, vocationally talented, medically unfit, enrolled in single subjects, in special categories or traveling.

As a NSW school we provide the full NSW curriculum for our students. They are able to gain credentials including the School Certificate for students completing Year 10 and the Higher School Certificate for students completing Year 12.
