Our school at a glance

Karabar High School and Distance Education Centre is an integrated face-to-face and distance education provider, located in Queanbeyan.

The school receives strong support from its Parents‟ and Citizens Association, School Council and local community.
Our school offers a wide range of specialist programs to meet the diverse needs of our students, whether they live locally, within the region or are travelling anywhere in the world.

At Karabar we are particularly proud of our quality co-educational, comprehensive and inclusive programs which cater for all students‟ academic, cultural, social and sporting skills development. Our excellent pastoral care programs ensure students‟ learning occurs in a safe and supportive learning environment.

The Selective Extension Program caters for the needs of gifted and talented students and is successfully keeping students in public education in Queanbeyan.
The school has gained partially-selective high school status and in 2010 will commence the initial partial-selective high school class program.

Karabar High School and Distance Education Centre has a highly trained, professional and dedicated staff that works enthusiastically with students to ensure they reach, and exceed, their educational potential.
